Hello!  My name is Carrie Detwiler and I am the Health Occupations instructor at the CACTC for the 2017-2018 school year.  My goal is to have my students prepare to either enter the healthcare field or continue on to post secondary education for a healthcare occupation.  The healthcare industry is constantly changing and I want to introduce my students to the most up to date trends and practices.

I graduated from Penn State University with my Bachelors Degree in Nursing.  I have worked in long-term skilled care, a hospital, private duty nursing, school nursing, and also own a personal care home where I have gained so much knowledge about taking care of the elderly.

Healthcare is one of the fastest growing careers and will continue to grow for many years.  I look forward to taking this journey with my students so that they can become successful, knowledgeable, life long learners in the healthcare field.
