About Mr. Payne
As a child, I was frequently in trouble for disassembling and reassembling my toys. I have always been curious about how things work. As I grew up, I made use of my mechanical aptitude by scavenging bicycle and lawn mower parts that I used to build working machines. The profits that I collected from selling the machines funded my summer activities.
At the conclusion of my senior year in high school, I was awarded a competitive scholarship to Remington Education Center (Now Wyotech), where I earned an Associate’s Degree In Automotive Techniques and Management with a concentration in Auto Collision Technology.
I began my career at a Ford Dealership where I worked as an oil change and tire technician. I quickly proved myself to be a hard worker and a fast learner and, as a result, was offered to participate in Ford Factory Training. Through the years of service and training, I worked to achieve the rank of Senior Master Technician.
Even though I was highly successful as a technician, I felt the desire to do something profoundly more meaningful with my life. What better way than to share my wealth of knowledge and success with the younger generation.
I began my teaching career in 2009 and was permanently hired as the Connellsville CTC, Automotive Technology Instructor in 2011. I really enjoy educating my students in the hopes that all obtain gainful employment in the Automotive Technology Field.
