Welcome to the Connellsville Area Career Technical Center (CACTC). I strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to learn about our school and the technical skills student’s master. There are two main reasons you should consider CACTC as your school of choice: its Career Technical Education programs of study and the unique small school environment it provides. The main focus is to prepare students to be college and career ready…to enter the workforce. Students who complete a program at CACTC earn industry credentials, enter college, secure apprenticeships and go directly into the workforce upon graduation.
Our students are actively engaged in both classroom and extracurricular activities. We have several Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs): SkillsUSA, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA) and the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). Students attend industry and post-secondary tours as well as job shadowing and internship opportunities.
At CACTC, our commitment is to provide the best education possible. Students in 9th and 10th grades attend the CACTC half-day and complete their academic courses at Connellsville Area High School. Students in 11th and 12th grades attend all day completing their academic and technical courses at the CACTC. Our students are exposed to an abundance of possibilities including: Career Technical Education, core content areas, job shadowing, character building and community service opportunities.
We welcome parents, students and community members to visit our school. You will be impressed with our state-of-the-art technical programs offered at CACTC. We have high expectations for all students who enroll in our programs supported by teachers that inspire and encourage our students to follow their goals and pursue their dreams.
On behalf of the faculty and staff, thank you for visiting our webpage to learn how the CACTC can help you prepare for your future and achieve your goals.
