Course Overview

First Year
This course uses the TestOut PC Course  and prepares students for the TestOut’s PC Pro Certification as well as the  CompTIA’s Exam 220-1001 and Exam 220-1002 Certification. It validates understanding of the most common hardware and software technologies in business and certifies the skills necessary to support complex IT infrastructures.

Second Year
This course uses NetAcad’s IT Essential Course alongside TestOut’s Client Pro Course. It prepares students for the NetAcad’s IT Essential Certification as well as the TestOut’s Client Pro Certification. Candidates for this exam operate in computing environments that use Microsoft Windows 10 as a desktop operating system in an enterprise environment. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in the IT field, as well as experience implementing and administering any Windows client operating system in a networked environment.

Third Year
This course uses NetAcad’s CCNAv7 Introduction to Networking Course alongside TestOut’s Network Pro Course. It prepares students for the NetAcad’s Introduction to Networking Certification and TestOut’s Network Pro Certification. It focuses on building simple LANs, performing basic configurations for routers and switches, and implementing IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes. You will also configure routers, switches, and end devices to provide access to local and remote network resources.

Fourth Year
This course uses NetAcad’s CCNAv7 Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials Course alongside TestOut’s Routing and Switching Pro Course. It prepares students for the NetAcad’s Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials Certification and  TestOut’s Routing and Switching Pro Certification. It focuses on working with routers, switches and wireless devices to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Wireless LANs and Inter-VLAN routing. You will also configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
